I am in a cocoon. This aging body that aches, is tired, hungers, and is sore, is not the end, it is the next step in my becoming. There is purpose in my aging. Just like a butterfly, as I struggle through age, pain, heartache, fatigue, and stress: my eyes are opening, my ears are tuning, my heart is softening – my wings are forming. And Christ is watching over me, nurturing my transformation, carrying me, and calling to me to emerge. To walk, then to run, then to fly. And as I consistently reach to Christ, look unto Him in every thought, doubt not and fear not, my wings will emerge, and I will rise, triumphant, and soar through the celestial air.
